Tirupati, Jul 27 : A three-year-old sri vari child devotee was injured in a Leopard attack on Tirupati-Tirumala kalibata road near here this evening.
According to police, Kokila, along with her family members, was proceeding to Tirumala for darshan of the lord balaji by foot when a Leopard attacked the child near Dear Park.The feline ran away after her family members and co-devotees shouted loudly.
The child , who hailing from Srikalhasti, received minor injuries and fell in a shock and was shifted to government Ruia hospital in Tirupati while her condition was stated to be normal, police added.
On receiving the information, TTD Executive officer IYR Krishna Rao immediately rushed to the hospital and enquired about the child.
Following the incident, the traffic on the tirupati-Tirumala ghat road (up and down) and also Tirumala kalibata was temporarily stopped as precautionary measures.
