The Congress MLA, Dr P Shankar Rao, predicted that this round of Odarpu Yatra would be final for the Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. 

The MLA, who has been targeting late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy’s family for some time, said Jagan would not be allowed to continue the Odarpu Yatra in other districts, as the party high command was opposing it. 

He said the high command had already advised Jagan to cancel the Yatra, while Sonia Gandhi had suggested him to bring the family members of the deceased from all districts to one place and console them. As Jagan defied these advices, the high command was upset and unhappy, the MLA said. 

“As Congress MP, Jagan would not be allowed to proceed further and conduct the Odarpu Yatra,” Dr Shankar Rao said. 

The legislator also ridiculed the Jagan camp leaders claim that the Kadapa MP is the only asset for the Congress to retain power in the state in future. Stating that Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are the only assets for the party, he pointed out that Jagan has no such image, ability and strength as being claimed by his supporters.
